Sean M. Sullivan is a founding partner of Lee Sullivan Shea & Smith LLP. Mr. Sullivan is well versed in all aspects of intellectual property law, and has over 25 years of experience in litigating and counseling clients on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition issues. His litigation experience includes both jury and bench trials in federal district courts, inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and appeals before the Federal Circuit, as well as advocacy in forums such as the International Trade Commission and private arbitration proceedings.
In addition to his litigation and counseling work, Mr. Sullivan has prepared and prosecuted patent and trademark applications for a variety of different matters in the United States and abroad. Mr. Sullivan also renders opinions regarding the validity, enforceability, infringement, and clearance of patent rights, as well as trademark infringement and clearance opinions.
Mr. Sullivan concentrates on representing clients in the mechanical, electrical, and chemical arts, including diagnostic devices, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, injection molding, packaging, consumer products, electronics, telecommunications, and computer software fields. He has represented Fortune 500 companies and smaller companies, as well as start-ups and individuals.
