Matthew J. Sampson is Of Counsel to Lee Sullivan Shea & Smith LLP.  Mr. Sampson has successfully represented clients for over 25 years in all areas of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on patent litigation, inter partes review proceedings, portfolio development, prosecution, and client counseling.  His work spans many technology areas including processor-based systems and software, user interfaces, telecommunications, signal processing, semiconductors, and medical and imaging devices.  He is also experienced with counseling clients regarding standards-essential patents, as well as technologies that became de facto industry standards.
Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Sampson worked as a research and development engineer for a supplier of airborne electronics systems, where his research focused on signal processing and RF/microwave design.
