Dennis G. Kapolnek is an associate with Lee Sullivan Shea & Smith LLP, where he practices in intellectual property law, with a focus on patent prosecution and capturing emerging technologies. Mr. Kapolnek has vast experience in patent practice with a wide array of technologies, including wireless technology, software related to business methods and/or online commerce, hardware control systems, mechanical devices, and electrical circuits and controls. 
Prior to joining LS3, Mr. Kapolnek had over ten years of experience practicing with a boutique intellectual property firm and practicing as in house counsel to companies with emerging intellectual property programs. Through this experience, Mr. Kapolnek developed a passion for working with inventors by assisting them with realizing that their hard work was not just “part of the job,” but that the work is content deserving of recognition and value as concrete intellectual property. This passion carries through in his work representing his clients.
Having a strong technical background in the electrical arts, with an academic focus in audio and signal processing, plus practical experience in the mechanical arts, Mr. Kapolnek utilizes his technical skills to assist a wide variety of clients in their patent practice. He remains someone who is always, personally, researching the next big thing, both out of personal interest and as potential aid in counseling his clients.
